why get blankets for babies boys and girls get pink blue?
I know we all think its because one is a boy, it becomes blue and the pink girl, but im wondering why it is that way? why not the boy pink and blue of the girl?
On the other hand, the idea of combining blue with baby boys can be explained back to ancient times when have a boy was good luck. Blue, the color of the sky where the gods and fate has lived, held the power to ward off evil, if infants where boys dressed in blue. In Greece, a blue eye is still thought to have powers to ward off evil. The idea of pink for girls could come from the European legend that baby girls were born in delicate pink.
